Small groups is the way that Renaissance Bible Church can pursue authentic, biblical community. Our desire is to be a people who consistently Share the Gospel, who Growto think, be, and love like Jesus, and Go where Jesus sends. We have have three different types of small groups that achieve our three desires of Share. Grow. Go. Take a look!

Where should I plug in?
If you’re new to Renaissance plug into a gospel clarity group. There will be one in the fall and one in the spring. If you’ve been with us for a while then plug into a “growth” group or a “go” group.
Our share groups are called Gospel clarity groups. These groups are designed for people who are new to Renaissance. They exist to give a crystal clear picture of the gospel. Groups will walk through the book of Galatians and take time to share their story of God’s grace in their life. The group typically begins in September and ends in May.
Our growth groups exist to help us to think, be, and love like Christ. These groups include:
Women of Ren Bible Studies
The womenʼs Bible study is an opportunity for women to connect with other ladies with the purpose of growing in Christ likeness. Currently there is a leadership team of women who are considering studies to offer in the fall for a morning and evening study.
Menʼs Prayer
On Wednesday morning the men at Ren will continue to offer an opportunity for men to spend an hour in prayer. This has been a significant growth opportunity for a group of men at Ren. Typically this group will share a brief devotional and spend time practicing the spiritual discipline of prayer.
2 Becoming 1 Marriage Small Group
We have a passion to see marriages strengthened at Ren. We have the luxury of having Don and Sally Meredith (authors of Two Becoming One) in our congregation and a pastor who speaks at Family Life Weekend to Remember Retreats. In the fall we will offer a 2 Becoming 1 small group. This group will meet for about 10 weeks beginning. It is capped at 6 couples.
Gospel Centered Parenting
One of the greatest worries that our people have expressed is centered around being a good mom or dad. With this in mind we want to offer a 10-week parenting small group that will be offered Sunday morning beginning in September. We are currently considering a couple of resources that could be used. Childcare will be offered during this time.
Our go groups are our current 242 groups. These groups will have a clear mission to be a part of a ministry in our community or world. Our desire is for these groups to develop long-term relationships with these ministries and be firmly planted in the community for years to come.
What will define success in our groups?
As a church we will be successful if we can answer the following questions:
- Who are you actively sharing God’s story with?
- How are you growing in Christ-likeness?
- Where are you going with the good news of the gospel?
