The Apostle Paul wrote the men in a little church plant, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong!” (1 Cor. 16:13).
If only Paul gave us the job description of a real man. Check out the stats for the average man today:
At Renaissance we are tired of being average. When the clock starts running out on us, we don’t want to echo the words of Henry David Thoreau: “Most men live lives of quiet desperation.” Instead we believe: “Every man is made to reach beyond his grasp.” Join us as we see God turn guys into men.
Friday Night Fires: Periodically our men gather around the campfire, eat meat, and talk turkey. Look for announcements in RenNews.
Boiler Room: Paul urges the men of the church to gather and pray. Unfortunately most prayer meetings have little testosterone represented. Every Wednesday a group of men gathers at the W. Cabarrus YMCA at 6:30 am to learn how real men pray.
Fight Club: Invite other men into the ring to discover the definition of biblical manhood. Spring 2012
